Thys du Toit Memorial MTB Race, 27 August 2016
Since it’s small beginnings in 2013 the Thys du Toit MTB race has become a favourite local family event and is attended by young and young-at-heart alike. The track snakes through the Hopefield landscape and you can expect a 14km, 30km, 50km – intermediate level and for the cyclists looking for a bigger challenge there is the 84KM MTB race.
This great race is a lifestyle event and has proven to be a great platform to bring the local sport market and other luxury and household brands together.
In 2013 we had 72 cyclists, 2014 we had 300 cyclists and in 2015 we had 315 cyclists and we foresee this event to grow to be one of the great family MTB events in the country.
